Reconstructed OOAK Offcut Sweater : Galaxy Huntress
Sometimes pieces are too well-loved to wear anymore, but too good to let go. Whether its a stain, tear or other faux pas… implementing a bit of kintsugi and wabi sabi philosophy can not only bring your loved item back into rotation, but also save it from the dreaded fast-fashion landfill. Over the years, Miranda has narrowed in to mostly working with sweaters and this design (and others that look nothing like it) are what she makes when she gets a rare chunk of time to sew uninterrupted…and after some hours random brilliance strikes like a lightning bolt on a pile of offcut scraps. This piece is easier than most to put on, a simple classic tunic. You choose what’s the front and what’s the back… or even just wear it as a scarf/cowel! Sizing is snug, small/medium.
If you like this sweater and would like something similar using your own sweaters or a particular color family, custom orders are encouraged.
