Handwoven Scarf : Foggy Park
GREAT GIFT!
Miranda Caroligne’s latest endeavor is looking to be her forever endeavor! In wee early months of 2024 her long-hibernating dreams of weaving came to fruition with the acquisition of a 45” 4-shaft Oregon Trail floor loom alongside a like-minded teacher and community of weavers.
And she’s hooked!
This scarf/shawl is woven on a cotton warp with Shetland woolen yarns from Harrisville NH. Shetland wool yields a scarf with some structure (my favorite), although it is a bit itchy. Growing up in New England winters, I personally find this comforting because I know the warmth it brings, and often wear it with a layer beneath. It also tends to soften over time.
Scarf/shawl has been “fulled” - washed, dried and ironed - to fluff & soften the fibers as well as take care of any shrinkage.
Scarf/shawl measures 12 3/4 inches wide and approximately 74 long (including fringe)
Feel free to message with any questions or custom requests!
